Meet Cheryl Merlo -Inducted on August 10th, 2010
Cheryl Merlo is originally from Owen Sound but has lived in Thunder Bay for the last 20 years. Cheryl is a Certified Reflexologist and works at the Journey to Wellness Health Spa in Westfort. In addition, Cheryl also is a Design Consultant for Budget Blinds. Cheryl has attended University of Western

On Oct 26, Cheryl gave her classification talk. Here is a summary of her presentation:
"I was raised in the Owen Sound area on a dairy farm. My parents ran a retirement home at the same time as they worked the farm, eventually selling the farm and moving into Owen Sound to begin a larger retirement home. I attended high school at the O.S.C.V.I. and then went to the University of Western Ontario to study Administrative and Commercial Studies. I finished this degree as a mature student through Lakehead University. I am a certified reflexologist working on a part-time basis out of the Journey to Wellness Health Spa on Amelia Street. I am also currently employed at The Phelps Group, a full-service human resources recruiting agency, as a consultant providing business development and administrative support."
Meet Alison Denton-Inducted on August 10th, 2010

Alison was born in Liverpool, England and emigrated to Canada in 1987 taking a position as a Nanny in the Oakville and Burlington areas. Soon, she began working in Long Term Care. Shortly after, she decided to pursue her education with a degree in Sociology at the University of Guelph. She completed her Master's Degree from Lakehead University in 2002. Alison is currently the Executive Director of the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay. In addition, she is a part-time lecturer of Sociology at Confederation College and Women's Studies at Lakehead University. Welcome Alison!
